Down the Mine Pilot of Thomas and friends Officially released on the Thomas & Friends YouTube channel!

Hello there, it's ThomasandLegofan with a Thomas & Friends 80th anniversary update. The Thomas & Friends original test pilot episode was officially released today, May 9th, 2025, on the Thomas & Friends YouTube channel!

As the 80th anniversary of the original railway series books is in 3 days on Monday May 12th, Mattel has given us yet another special bonus gift for this Milestone, after 43 years they decided to release the full official pilot.

The news first circulated on X (Formerly twitter) by an account called Lost Media Busters that it was going to be released on May 9th, Which gained a lot of traction within the Lost Media and  Thomas & Friends community.

This morning, The BBC (British Broadcasting Company) had a special new interview with Ian McCue and Mark Chambers with some Footage from the Pilot shown. A user by the name of Terry Yiu on youtube posted a video fo this segment onto YouTube

I have embedded Both previously mentioned videos into this blog Post

New Thomas & Friends prototypes revealed at Toyfair 2025

To those who may not know, images of Mattel's display for Thomas and Friends toys at ToyFair 2025 have been going around online. With the 80th anniversary of the Original Railway Series happening this year, many people have been wondering what the releases for this year will be. These images show prototypes for new motorized and diecast toys. The motorized seems to show three-packs and singular engines, including: Nia, Thomas, James, Gordon, Percy, Flying Scotsman, and Duck. The Diecast engines shown seem to be James, Thomas, Percy and Henry. They also showed the packaging for the 80th anniversary Thomas and their Mattel Ruby Collection Thomas with two generic Trucks carrying rubies. While these are currently prototypes, I believe, they look really good and I'm excited for what's to come with these lines.
